IL TERRAZZO RESTAURANT
IL Terrazzo Restaurant brings Brazilian Barbecue delights to Riyadh Some say it originated in Brazil, whilst others claim that the Nicaraguans perfected it. Opinions might differ on the origin, but everyone who has experienced it agrees that it is one of the most exciting dining experiences in the world. Now, for the first time in Riyadh, more adventurous diners can experience for themselves what all the fuss is about. The venue for this international culinary experience is the Al Faisaliah Hotel’s IL Terrazzo restaurant.

Located on the 1st floor of the hotel, this mist-cooled, open terrace restaurant overlooks the beautifully landscaped plaza of Al Faisaliah Center and the King Fahd Highway. The hustle and bustle of Riyadh’s busiest highway extends to the restaurant where waiters move from table to table bringing an international selection of meats on skewers from which they slice portions onto your plate – churrascaria de rodizio style. A South American tradition for over 300 years, the meat was originally skewered on metal spits and cooked over coals, usually in a pit dug in the ground. The only seasoning was coarse salt and each gaùcho, or cowboy, had his own churrasco or knife that he used to cut pieces of meat from the spit. Today the tradition continues at IL Terrazzo Restaurant where you will find a variety of meats, seasoned to perfection and slow roasted over an open fire to capture the flavor. The variety of meats on offer range from Costella; slow roasted, juicy beef ribs, and Lombo; veal loin basted with parmesan, to Cordeiro; Australian leg of lamb stuffed with garlic. Connoisseurs of meat will particularly enjoy the classic Filet Mignon and Fraldinha; paper-thin cuts of bottom sirloin.
